After graduating Tenafly High School, Bill Hogan attended the University of Maryland. After a year and a half he transferred to SVA in NYC and obtained a degree in Illustration. He later served as an illustrator for the Fourth US Army Headquarters, in San Antonio Texas. After service, he earned an MFA from teh University of the Americas in Mexico City. He taught arts and crafts at Espanola Junior High School in New Mexico for a couple of years before returning east to Hackensack, NJ as an illustrator/cartoonist for the Record Newspaper.
