Cecile
Brunswick was born in Belgium, in a family immersed in different
languages, music and art. Moving to New York City as a child made
her sensitive to peoples of different cultures an faiths. She obtained
a degree from Columbia University in International Affairs, but after
working in the field, ended up training as a photographer which she
practiced professionally from many years before substituting a paint
brush for a camera. She was awarded an artist's residency in Morocco
which brightened her palette and altered her compositions. She studied
painting under Frank O'Caine at the Arts Student's League and her
work, exhibited internationally is in museums, corporate and private
collections.
